About the Item

Early Art Deco period pewter vase displays the form of the Art Nouveau period, but with more classic and what was considered "modern" embellishment at the time. Foliate sprays are bound with ribbon as the focal point, and also appear cascading from the rim and emanating from the base. The color is a dark patinaed bronze, giving opulence to the visual effect. Stamped with an intriguing hallmark featuring a crown over a five-petal flower, and initialed EF, circa 1920s Measures 17.5 height x 7.5 in diameter.
