Echo Hand Built Sculptural Double Fin Ceramic Vase
About the Item
One of a kind, these statement pieces are unique in design and execution.
Meticulously hand built in Brooklyn, each slab of clay is cut with precision dried over time to maintain an unnaturally erect form.
These otherworldly pieces combine stark, futuristic geometry with the warmth of ancient ceramic vessels. The collection explores the dichotomy between digital repeating planes and an earthen medium. Spherical solidity and airy lines combine in a range of neckless vases embracing negative space, removing the expected and leaving the essential to offer framed views of the flora within. A handmade bowl cradles its contents between sculptural fins.

Farrah Sit
Farrah Sit’s “own less, own well” ethos is a breath of fresh air in a time of disposable consumerism, and she has made it her mission to make artistic, ethical design widely accessible. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, her exacting attention to detail allows her to channel a peaceful, organic beauty in her work. Her work surfaces beauty from wells of tension, foregrounding unseen space and forces: the moment breath is lost to anticipation, when an icicle is about to plummet, a band to snap, a wave to crash, an echo to fade. Farrah’s work expresses her process of material reduction, wedding spareness with the inherent grace of natural elements. Each piece is a contemplation on essentiality.
