Echo Hand Built Sculptural Ceramic Bowl

About the Item

Taking inspiration from scape travel, these sculptural pieces combine stark, futuristic forms with the warmth of ancient ceramic vessels. The collection explores the dichotomy of machine-like repeating planes though a juxtaposing medium. A multi-finned bowl and table light, evocative of industrial cooling parts complete this otherworldly assortment.

It was wood-fired in an "Anagama" kiln in Upstate New York, a traditional Japanese kiln. These kilns are made of special bricks built on a slowly slanting hillside with several firing chambers.
