English Staffordshire Porcelain Large Puce Tulip Vase, Circa 1840 The charming and rare porcelain large tulip vase is formed from a fully open bloom. The large tulip with puce colored striated leaves with three green leaves, The vase sits on a gray brown wash shaped domed hollow base. The tulip is similarly decorated on the interior of the vase. Dimensions: 6 inches high x 4 inches wide x 3 1/2 inches deep Mark: Unmarked. There is a collection note in black "70.32.1963". (Ref: VM98724)

Vintage Porcelain Large Tulip Vase Pyramids, Chinese, Circa 2000 A pair of Tulipiere vases with each tulipiere made in four interconnecting pieces and painted in underglaze blue and white. The pattern is known as the Blue Onion Pattern. Each vase has twenty four openings for tulips or flowers opening to a hollow cavity for water. Dimensions: 31 1/4 inches tall x 8 3/4 inches square base. A "tulipiere" is a type of ornate vase, also known as a tulip vase or pyramid vase, designed to hold multiple stems of flowers, particularly tulips, in individual spouts. They are often made of Delftware and feature a shared water reservoir at the base. They are traditionally used for displaying cut flowers. Stunning example of a pair of English Minton porcelain centerpieces or flower vases, each modelled as a standing cherub one harvesting wheat, both ending with stunning pierced oval centerpieces on footed supports. Circa third quarter of the Nineteenth Century. Exquisitely decorated in colours of turquoise on white glazed ground with lavish gold highlights. Condition: Good condition for such an early piece with no losses, few old tiny firing hairlines at leg areas. Typically unmarked as pieces of this early period.
