Es Keramik Emons & Söhne Blue and Red Fat Lava Handled Vase Modern Form
About the Item
A gorgeous blue and read fat lava vase from ES Keramik Emons & Sohne. The blue ranges toward periwinkle and the depth of glaze and dripping burst overlayer of red is attention grabbing! Dating this is an imprecise art, but the firm closed in the early 70's and the molds are believed to have lost the form numbers through repeat use. The form number appears to read 847/12 but there is enough glaze that reading it is difficult. Nevertheless, its presence suggests a date in the 1960's. This is one of the more uncommon forms and it certainly would be fun to collect a variety of them! Fat lava is just perfect for your groovy mid century modern interior, or even for your next movie studio project!
