About the Item

Product info This ceramic vase is attributed to ESKAF (Eerste Steenwijker Kunst Aardewerk Fabriek) and corresponds in form to Model 9, a design associated with W. van Norden, produced during the Huizen period between 1928 and 1934. The vase features a compact, vertically oriented profile with a narrow mouth and gently swelling body, characteristic of ESKAF's restrained interwar aesthetic. The proportions and glaze treatment are consistent with documented examples from this model series. Although not fully signed, the base shows clear residue of an original ESKAF factory mark, supporting the attribution to the Huizen workshop. A refined example of ESKAF's output, appealing to collectors of Dutch modern ceramics and works of W. van Norden. Condition Good vintage condition, with expected minor surface characteristics consistent with early 20th-century Dutch ceramic production. A small pinhole-shaped indentation is present in the glaze; this is a manufacturing-related firing characteristic. Origin Huizen, the Netherlands Specifications Weight: 355 grams Height: 14.5 cm Diameter (mouth): 3.5 cm Diameter (foot): 6.5 cm Maximum width: 9.5 cm
