This important Federzeichnung, which translates to pen drawing, glass vase by Loetz features the “octopus” motif. Distinguished by an intricate scrolling air-trap design and external gilt vermicelli accents, this famous pattern is one of the renowned firm’s most coveted designs. One of the largest producers of high-quality art glass in the Art Nouveau style, Loetz's accomplishments with iridescent glass are rivaled only by those of Tiffany Studios.
