About the Item

The Fiasca Vessel by Coseincorso Dimensions: Ø 25 x H 34 cm. Materials: Ceramic with unleaded glaze. The Fiasca takes inspiration from storage vessels made in fairly standard shapes, they were designed to fit with dozens of others on a shelf, often in a pharmacy or shop. Their handles therefore tend to fit within the vessel’s profile, and the jar is generally narrower at the middle than at the top or bottom, making it easy to grip. The ceramic is hand-thrown and the original decor has been blacked out. The shiny black glaze has been rubbed by hand by the artisans to give this matte finish. COSEINCORSO is a multi-disciplinary design studio founded by Marzia Cerio and Marwann Frikach in 2021 specialized in objects and curation. Their practice is mainly focused on pushing forward the boundaries between art and design, using the combination of contemporary and minimalist aesthetics with traditional craftsmanship. Their approach aims to reintroduce poetics into the production process and highlights the cultural context in which objects are made. Their objects are made in collaboration with artisans and source local materials focusing on the valorization of know-how. Each collection is inspired by history, archaeology, and geography and aims to translate the essence of a region into physical form. In 2023, they launched their ephemeral gallery representing artists and designers that share the same values.
