About the Item
François Caleca Mid-Century Modern very large ceramic vase 1960s Era Capron Blin
It is a very astonishing decorative piece both by its very large size and its shape.
This vase is entirely handmade. It is therefore unique. We note a beautiful work on the colors with a soft gray hatched by black lines giving vivacity to the pattern. The whole is illuminated by the contribution of bright red patterns.
The enamel is both silky and shiny in places, which brings softness and brightness to the whole.
François Caleca is one of the many ceramic artists of the twentieth century to have practiced in Vallauris. His work is recognizable by the very graphic aspect of the patterns used as it is the case here.
