An off-white crispé glazed ceramic vase with primitive zoomorphic/star design, twin handles and grey interior by Jean Besnard (1889-1958), under the pseudonym - René Bluet, signed.
Besnard used this alias in the latter part of his career in order to create more experimental works, without tarnishing the fine reputation he earned during the early 20th century.
