This etched and gilt ruby glass vase celebrates the coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth on May 12, 1937. The vase features remarkable details, including a crowned monogram, floral festoon, oak sprigs, thistle and crowned accession date. With its highly unique ruby red glass, the gold gilt stands out in beautiful contrast. This vase is a lovely tribute to one of the most important and controversial coronations in the history of the British Empire.
