About the Item

Herend porcelain vase, Apponyi Pink collections, hand painted and made in the 1950s Ø cm 13 h cm 24 Herend porcelain is among the most prestigious and sought after in the world. Made in Hungary since 1826, Herend is known for its exceptional quality, craftsmanship and unique designs. Founded in 1826 by Vince Stingl in the village of Herend, Hungary, the factory quickly gained recognition for its exquisite porcelain creations. By the mid-19th century, Herend porcelain had achieved international acclaim, receiving royal patronage from Queen Victoria and Emperor Franz Joseph of Austria. Herend porcelain is meticulously crafted using time-tested techniques passed down through generations of artisans. Each piece is handcrafted, hand painted and enamelled, ensuring a unique and beautiful art object. The factory uses a secret formula for its porcelain paste, resulting in a delicate yet durable material. This manufacture features a wide variety of designs, from classic floral and geometric motifs to intricate figurative scenes and animal motifs. The manufacture also offers themed collections and special editions, ensuring there is a piece to suit every taste. One of their most famous designs is the "Queen Victoria" pattern, created in 1851 after Queen Victoria commissioned a service decorated with butterflies and flowers.
