Large Art Nouveau ceramic vase with two handles. Glaze in blue-green shades with speckled base. Marked with model number 126. Approx. 1900. Perfect condition. Dimensions: W 21.0 cm x H 18.0 cm. Höganäs Keramik was founded in 1909 by Sigfrid Johansson and Karl Andersson, originally named Andersson & Johansson’s Pottery Factory. The company exhibited at the Baltic Exhibition in Malmö in 1914. In 1926, they transitioned entirely to stoneware, and in 1948 the factory became a limited company. The iconic Old Höganäs series was introduced at the 1955 H55 exhibition in Helsingborg, inspired by traditional salt-glazed utilitarian ware. The official name Höganäs Keramik was adopted in 1967. Factory operations continued until 2008, when production moved abroad.
