This is a large pair of vintage dry flower vases. A Chinese, hand-carved bamboo bitong or brush pot, dating to the early 20th century, circa 1930.
Skilfully carved bitong, or decorative brush pots - ideal for dry flower arrangements.
Displaying a desirable aged patina, minor splitting to the bamboo.
Expertly carved with an abundance of detail, the bamboo presenting light biscuit hues.
The scenes depict traders and workers within a bamboo forest.
Delightful examples of Chinese craftsmanship during the late Art Deco period.
Each offering an opening diameter of 8.5cm (3.25'').
This is a striking pair of large vintage dry flower vases, with superb carving in the bitong tradition. Delivered polished and ready to display.
