l'Atelier du Cyclope Annecy Mid-Century Turquoise Lava Glazed Vase

About the Item

A stylish French mid-century art pottery vase decorated with turquoise lava glazes and produced by l'Atelier du Cyclope made in Annecy. The ceramic vase is lightly potted and stands on a narrow flat round unglazed base with a round body pinched neck and trumpet shaped top. The body of the vase is applied with a rough lava finish in matted turquoise and white glazes with black craters. With a brown glazed interior the vase also retains an original label for Ceramique Regionale, possibly a retailers label and is not otherwise marked. Provenance: acquired in the British Art Market. In good condition.
