Leandro Lega, Faenza, Rare Modernist Ceramic Vase from Italy, 1960. Leandro Lega was among the main Italian ceramists of the second half of the 20th century, the protagonist of numerous exhibitions and citations in the generalist and sectoral press. Since 1950, the Ceramiche Lega workshop in Faenza has combined the expert craftsmanship of the ceramic tradition with the search for new forms that enhance its lightness. The Lega's work has been documented, since the late 1950s, by a voluminous review of the press that includes local newspapers, national newspapers and art magazines. A growing path full of dense, collective and personal exposure, through participation in competitions, with real intensity of presence, for numerous and prestigious awards.
