About the Item
A large and stylish Italian porcelain twin handled pedestal vase hand painted with landscape scenes by Mangani and dating from the 20th century. This tall and elegant vase stands raised on a square shape pedestal base with an urn shaped body and funnel shaped top with a raised round shallow rim. Raised molded lion head handles are applied to either side. The body of the vase is hand painted in puce with landscapes containing figures set within gilded surrounds with further extensive gilded and cobalt blue patterning applied against a white ground. The vase has printed makers marks to the base. A wonderful display piece for any interior.
Provenance: acquired in the British art market.
