About the Item
This unique ceramic piece is part of The Table Project, a collaborative initiative developed in Spain in 2024. Originally designed by Isidro Blasco, the vase has been artistically intervened by Teresa Moro, a visual artist whose work centers on the observation of everyday objects as vessels of symbolic, emotional, and historical meaning.
In this intervention, Moro illustrates a series of painting tools arranged across the body of the vase, using an expressive palette of reddish, pink, and ochre tones. The composition is set against a white glazed surface that serves as a neutral ground, allowing the depicted objects to take on a near-narrative presence somewhere between the anecdotal and the evocative.
About Teresa Moro
In her work, Teresa Moro explores and reinterprets the legacy of Modernist artists, searching for subtle details, distinctions, and areas that resonate with a particular energy. Her practice offers a quiet resistance to the relentless standardization that consumer society imposes on our living environments, reclaiming spaces for individuality and emotional depth.
255About The Table Project
The Table Project is an initiative by artist Isidro Blasco. Operating from his studio in the Carabanchel district of Madrid, the project was conceived to create distinctive, art-driven objects and to foster collaboration among local artists.
Since 2019, The Table Project has served as a meeting point for artists grounded in Spain’s rich artisanal traditions, reimagined through a contemporary lens. Rooted in the spirit of community and creativity, the project has become a platform where multidisciplinary artists engage in the creation of handcrafted pieces within the framework of contemporary art.
After living in New York for 25 years, Blasco returned to Spain and launched The Table Project as a way to bridge artisanal heritage with the vibrancy of today’s creative practices.
