About the Item

This unique ceramic piece is part of The Table Project, a collaborative initiative developed in Spain in 2024. Originally designed by Isidro Blasco, the work has been artistically enhanced by Montserrat Gómez-Osuna, renowned for her lyrical painterly language and sensitivity to light, material, and the natural environment. In this vase, Gómez-Osuna transfers her signature play of layers and transparency onto the ceramic surface, blending subtle color washes with more defined linear strokes. The cool tones—mainly blues and greens—create an introspective and serene atmosphere, evoking vegetal landscapes and organic forms. The result is a fluid composition that balances gestural expression with poetic nuance, giving the object an emotional and contemplative dimension characteristic of her visual universe. Montserrat Gómez Osuna In her work, Gómez Osuna creates landscapes filled with undefined vegetal elements and organic ornaments, interwoven with figurative motifs. Everyday domestic objects like plates and stacks of vessels form intricate compositions that recall traditional still lifes. The Table Project The Table Project is an initiative by artist Isidro Blasco. From his studio located in the Carabanchel neighborhood of Madrid, various projects have been developed with the aim of creating unique artistic objects and fostering connections among local artists. Since 2019, The Table Project has encouraged these gatherings rooted in the artisanal traditions so characteristic of Spanish culture, but from a contemporary perspective. In this spirit of building community and creating one-of-a-kind artistic pieces, a space has emerged where multidisciplinary artists enjoy crafting handmade works within the context of contemporary art. The Table Project is Isidro Blasco’s personal project. After living in New York for 25 years, he launched this initiative as a way to connect traditional craftsmanship with vibrant contemporary creation.
