Murano Dark Purple Pink White Swirling Ribbons Italian Art Glass Fazzoletto Vase
About the Item
Beautiful, vintage Murano hand blown deep purple (almost black), white and pink ribbons Italian art glass fazzoletto / handkerchief flower vase. Attributed to designer Dino Martens for Aureliano Toso. The multicolor Filigrana ribbons create a unique alternating color pattern. Striking swirl design. The bottom is polished flat and has a pontil mark as well. Would make a great display piece on any dresser, coffee table or credenza. Use it as a flower vase, or showcase it as a sculpture in your home. Mid-century era. Some ash residue became attached to the glass surface (see photo). Measures: 9 1/2" long x 9" wide x 5" tall.
