About the Item
An ode to contrast and quiet drama, the Noir Grecian Vessel by Maison Lamiè is a sculptural meditation on form, texture, and antiquity reimagined. Crafted by hand in 2025 using Maison Lamiè’s proprietary mix of clay, paper, and plaster, this one-of-a-kind piece draws inspiration from the timeless silhouettes of ancient Grecian ceramics—then strips them down to their elemental essence.
The surface is deliberately raw: layers of matte black and chalky white pigments collide in a weathered, painterly finish that feels both ancient and immediate. Each contour carries the imprint of the artist’s hand—no two vessels are ever alike.
This piece is not meant to be perfect. It’s meant to feel lived-in, excavated, and emotionally resonant. It has the visual weight of an artifact unearthed from ruins, with the restraint and quiet modernity suited to a contemporary interior. Best displayed on a pedestal or console table as a standalone sculpture.
Excellent condition. Not watertight. Intended for decorative use only.
Maison Lamiè is the studio of Egyptian artist George Lamiè, whose Mediterranean heritage and reverence for antiquity infuse each piece with soul and story. More than decor, his work offers presence.

MAISON LAMIÈ
Maison Lamiè is a sculptural design studio where ancient form meets modern restraint. Founded by Egyptian artist George Lamiè, the studio produces hand-formed vessels and objects that blur the line between art and artifact—crafted to bring texture, narrative, and soul to interior spaces. Lamiè’s work distills the essence of place, memory, and material into tactile forms that feel both timeworn and contemporary. His Mediterranean roots and years spent in New York and Los Angeles inform a practice that values contrast—structure and spontaneity, rawness and refinement. Each piece is shaped by hand in his Atlanta studio, honoring imperfection as a mark of presence. Maison Lamiè collections are made in limited runs and sought after by designers and collectors alike for their quiet power and emotive depth. More than decor, they are sculptural statements—objects that live in dialogue with the spaces they inhabit.
