About the Item

Stunning assembled Collection of Pair of wonderful Decorative Porcelain Items comprising of a Pair of Irish Belleek Aberdeen Ewers or Pitchers. All pieces are Second Period Black Mark for 1863-1891 Condition: Superb condition for such early pieces, with no evidence of any restoration anywhere, impressed mark to base of each with Irish Wolfhound, Round Tower and a Harp for 1863-1891. Aberdeen Jugs: Height: (entire) 6.25" (15.5cm). Diameter: (of body) 3.75” (9.5cm). Location: Dublin City, Ireland. Affordable fixed charge Worldwide Store to door shipping. The production of Belleek began in 1863, after W.H. Kerr and Robert Williams Armstrong approached David McBirney of Hibernian House, Aston Quay, Dublin to finance the venture. At the Dublin International Exhibition of 1865, Belleek displayed mainly stoneware and tableware, but also parian statuary and earthenware. During the initial stages, links with Staffordshire & Worcester Potteries are evident in design.
