About the Item

Pair of Art Nouveau WMF twin handled vases, featuring maidens wearing flowing dresses. The bottom of the dress forms the base. A flowering tree flows up from the base. Complete with glass liners. Maker's marks including WMF stamp, EP (electroplated), I/O (normal thickness of silver plating) and as (antique silver finish). The other with WMF stamp and 'OX' (Oxidised finish). The two vases do have a very subtle difference in finish, with the OX version having slightly shinier areas than the other vase. However, the difference is subtle and the vases display very well together. We would be open to splitting the vases, upon request. Illustrated on page 107, 'Art Nouveau Domestic Design from Wurttembergische Metallwaren Fabrik' published by the 'Antique Collectors Club'.
