Pair of Italian Sterling Silver Baroque vase
About the Item
Large baroque style sterling silver vases.
This pair of vases was made by the same master silversmith.
Being made entirely by hand, the vases are similar but not identical, both in size and in the chisel and embossed workmanship.
Suitable for being placed on the sides of a large console, on the stone or marble top of a Baroque period fireplace or for being placed on a large dining table, filled with flowers during an elegant lunch or dinner
The body of the vases have been masterfully embossed with shells, flowers and scrolls, typical of the Baroque style.
Also in the bodies of the vases, some parts have been left shiny to highlight the great embossing and chisel work carried out.
The base of the vases, round and with one step, has the right proportions to slim and streamline the figure of the vases.
One base was then lightly hammered while the other was made with a glossy finish.
In the upper part, the wide mouth of the vase is suitable for containing a good quantity of long-stemmed flowers.
