A fine pair of Japanese Satsuma earthenware vases, ornately decorated in typical Satsuma colours with enamels and heavy gilding. The designs on the bodies of these late 19th century or early 20th century shouldered vases feature traditional figural and landscape scenes, hand-painted and set within elaborate borders. The vases are signed with a maker's mark on their bases and are in excellent vintage condition.
