About the Item
Pair of very rare vases / jugs by wellknown manufacturer Amphora, which can be used on both sides, made around 1915 in Czech Republic.
The extraordinary pair is of the same size but different colors and decor. One has a red base color and shows a man with a typical Art Deco design, probably the messenger of the gods Hermes. The blue vase shows a woman on a throne with a drum-like object. On the other side are flower like decors. Both vases have an opening at the top and two openings on the side of the neck, as well as two handles. The base and the top are striped white and blue.
Measurements each approx.: height 15,35 in - 39 cm, diameter 8,27 in - 21 cm
Both jugs are marked on the bottom and amphora is easy to read.

Very impressive jug from the Art Deco period, made around 1915 by the Amphora company from the Czech Republic.
The object can be viewed from several sides. On the main display page you can see an impressively designed horse-drawn carriage including a driver in classicist robe and helmet. On the back are geometric flowers. The object is covered all over with art deco motifs in different colors. The handle at the top is very unusually designed. There is a glaze error on the upper side - which is due to production. The object bears the Amphora brand on the underside.
