About the Item
Peter Callas contemporary ceramicist with a life of work behind him already.
With roots in Kansas City, Callas was studio assistant to Peter Voulkos during his time in the Mid West and to this day Callas work bears evidence of this relationship.
Brown tones and often brash surface treatment and sgraffito mark his pots as in this example.
