About the Item

Ceramic vase by Richard Ginori hand-painted with floral motifs, made in the 1920s Ø 20 cm h 46 cm Company of Lombard origin founded in 1896 when the Marquis Carlo Ginori, passionate about white gold, arrived in Doccia to build a porcelain factory. Today his creations, dishes, table services, trays, vases, furnishing accessories, belong to the history of many Italian kitchens. In the 18th century, Carlo Ginori synthesized the elements of ancient tradition with more modern influences. The stoia (woven fabric) pattern was created and gold decorations were subsequently added. In the 19th century, floral decorations and new table decorations were added. The factory expands and the Richard Ginori Ceramics Company is born. The new company is characterized by the use of new technologies and creations are perfected thanks to the use of these. Among the pictorial decorations, the most important are those with prints, overlays, flowers, figures in gold, figures and landscapes in blue and many other decorations that characterize Ginori porcelain
