Rare Find and Highly Collectible Edmond Rigot Art Nouveau Cameo Glass Vase
About the Item
A lovely Art Nouveau vase by Edmond Rigot is a rare find and a must-have for any glass collector.
Inscribed on the wall: E. RiGOT
H: 7.5 cm, Ø 8 cm
From an important private collection.
Highly etched, triangular in section over a stepped, round base, with a fluted edge at the top that flares out slightly towards the outside.
Mold blown.
On a colorless background, overlays in opaque strong yellow, in daylight a strong yolk yellow,
In artificial light, greenish-lemon yellow and overlay in dark brown.
Decor of blackberry vines with fruits and leaves all around.
Etched in relief in several steps. Vessel surface matt inside and outside.
Edmund Anton Rigot (1885 - 1946) was a French glassmaker.
