Rare Green Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Vase with Blossoming Iris Flowers

About the Item

A rare high quality antique Japanese, late Meiji period, Silver wire and enamel over copper vase. The amphora shaped vase has a narrow fluted neck. The ware is enameled with a polychrome image of blossoming Iris flowers on a deep green ground made in the Cloisonne technique. The base of the ware is adorned with a polychrome enamel foliage ornament made in the same technique. The neck features a geometrical pattern made in the same technique. Unmarked. Circa: late 19th century Attributed to Hayashi Kodenji Antique and Vintage Asian and Oriental Enamel Vases, Table Wares, Home Decor, and Collectibles. OVERALL GOOD VINTAGE CONDITION. SIGNS OF AGE AND WEAR. REFER TO PHOTOS. H 5 IN. ALL MEASUREMENTS ARE APPROXIMATE.
