Scheurich Red Orange Volcanic Fat Lava Decorated Statement Piece Vase, 1970's

About the Item

Simply gorgeous volcanic orange red lava dripping and crawling of a dark brown glaze that fired to nearly mirror black coloration. The 284 19 form is proven a perfect vehicle for many of Scheurich's best glazes. Assembling a collection representing variations on the form would certainly be fun! And, it's certainly a fantastic shape for a large floral arrangement. The rim is even wide enough to use a floral frog or small glass vase liner inside for live arrangements.
