Signed Studio Pottery Glazed Wabi-Sabi Art Vase Maybe Japanese Asian Bizen Ware
About the Item
A gorgeously and sumptuously glazed studio pottery vase with irregular bumps and protrusions on the surface area, multi-colored earth-toned glazes, and a flared rim. Quite an unusual design with a Wabi-Sabi look and feel to it (the Japanese aesthetic - the appreciation of beauty that is imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete in nature and embraces the principles of asymmetry, roughness, simplicity, economy, austerity, modesty, intimacy, and the appreciation of both natural objects and the forces of nature upon them).
Signed by the artist with an impressed "V" with what appears to be a smaller letter or mark/symbol above it. Expertly crafted and thrown by the maker.
The piece appears very much like Mingei Japanese Bizen Ware but we are not certain. Quite the mystery seed pot vase.
Would be a great addition to any pottery/ceramic collection or make for an eye-catching stand-alone accent piece in about any setting.

A beautiful Japanese yunomi teacup featuring a subtle blue-green crackle glaze. The work radiates in the light.
This little gem (along with others we will be listing) came from a collector of fine Japanese and Asian ceramics - a collection like no other we have seen before. The yunomi teacup has a somewhat Wabi-Sabi feel and appearance to it.
Appears to be signed by the maker/artist on the base.
Would be a great addition to any Asian or Japanese pottery/ceramics collection...
