Small Antique Ovoid Mid-Atlantic Redware Pottery Flower Pot

About the Item

A fine antique redware flowerpot. Found in Virginia (likely Mid-Atlantic in origin). Simply a wonderful folky piece of Americana! Date: Late 18th or Early 19th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Condition Details: There are flaking, fritting, and losses to the rim (and a bit to the foot as well), and light scuffing and scratching to the glaze throughout. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Measurements: Diameter: ca. 4 1/2 in. Height: ca. 4 3/8 in.
