Tanger Fish Mouth vase 202/36 designer Liesel Spornhauser at Schlossberg Keramic

About the Item

The Tanger line is one of Liesel Spornhauser's infrequently seen decorations for Schlossberg Keramic in Volmorstein, Germany. The fish mouth form was used for many of her decorations, but is certainly quite successfully shown here in red, black and yellow. A perfect addition to a mid century interior, design collection or German ceramics collection. The form and glaze are documented in Horst Markus’s standard work Keramik der 50er Jahre, Formen, Farben und Dekore This one actually is tall, but the vertical stripes accentuate the form and the height. 202/36
