About the Item

This unique ceramic vase is a collaborative piece from The Table Project, created in Spain in 2024. Originally designed by Isidro Blasco, it was transformed by Luis Salaberría, whose work is known for its primitive-inspired graphic language and deep connection to the subconscious. Salaberría decorates the vase with carefully arranged irregular strokes, predominantly in black and blue tones, evoking raw, instinctive forms. Warm hues are sparingly used to highlight subtle details, creating a striking contrast that enhances the vase’s expressive and enigmatic character. About Luis Salaberria Salaberria’s work draws from popular tradition and unfolds through open-ended approaches, playing with analogies and archetypal imagery. Embracing error and the unexpected, his process gives rise to fantastical figures and scenes that often evoke the feel of childhood tales. About The Table Project Founded by artist Isidro Blasco after returning from 25 years in New York, The Table Project is based in the Carabanchel neighborhood of Madrid. It brings together local and multidisciplinary artists to create unique handmade objects rooted in Spanish artisanal tradition, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens.
