About the Item

A very special ceramic vase, this is is really cool and very much gives a 70s feeling. It is made of stoneware and the texture is smooth, yet combined with an amazing harpsichord glaze, which gives a feeling to the vase. The colour is a pale chocolate brown, with some cream details. It is made and signed by Bruno Karlsson for EGO keramik, Sweden. It is 17,5cm/6.88" high and around 8cm/3.14" in diameter at the base. It is in a very good condition and the price includes free shipping. EGO Ego stoneware was a ceramics workshop in Lidköping. The designers and ceramicists who worked there included Tyra Lundgren and Willi Fischer, among others. The factory first focused on household items, but in the 1960s also began to produce art objects, mainly when they hired Bruno Karlsson as one of Sweden's foremost designers. Many of his creations are today highly sought after and appreciated by vintage and retro enthusiasts all over the world.
