$280per item

About

Iota X Abs Objects - Large basket Crochet basket with rope handle and stoneware beads. Our collaboration was born early March 2020. While trying to figure out life in the shade of Covid-19, our thoughts wandered out to picnics moments, traveling outside our homes, carrying baskets and bags filled with nice things. We created four objects inspired by the memory of roaming from one place to another. The collection includes two baskets, a vase and mirror which offer a dynamic movement, allowing intimate gestures between object and human. We were bound to stay home and local and we took that opportunity to combine our two familiar disciplines and create a capsule collection – integrating textile craft and ceramics. All the objects in this collection are handmade in Tel Aviv by ABS Objects and iota studio. In addition to being a contemporary design studio iota soft living is a social project that employs, teaches and empowers women who are otherwise unable to work by teaching them the crochet technique and providing them work which they can carry out from their homes. Maintenance Ceramics – Be gentle and careful, all ceramics are food safe. Gentle hand wash. Do not use or cook on fire. Non-glazed surfaces can get stained by natural materials. Textile – The use of chemical cleaning materials may harm the product. Try to address stains before they dry with a moist cloth. * Products may vary up to 5% as objects are handmade. Dimensions: 16 x 50 cm / 6.2 x 19.6 in Not including handles Materials – stoneware, acrylic, cotton.

iota

iota is an international luxury brand, established in 2014, selling soft furniture at the world's top design stores and featured in the best magazines and design blogs. We create signature rugs, poufs, stools, home accessories and a limited collection of swings. Our yarns are bespoke, produced from highest quality cotton and polyester. They are a new, contemporary interpretation of luxury textile and are designed and developed exclusively by us. Our products are entirely hand knit, creating meticulous and one-of-a-kind furniture. We work with vast, bold color pallets and designs which convey both emotion and innovation. Our hand work is carried out by women working from their homes. We teach them the skill of crochet knitting and supply work for them. We believe in women empowerment and giving back to society. We believe our clients to be intelligent, responsible consumers who appreciate original design and value the story and uniqueness behind each of our products. iota's customers seek to tell a story through design. Like the clothes we wear, telling of our identity and personalities, so are the spaces we dwell in. Our products are luscious, intricate and beautiful. They convey the narrative of their hand work and the story of our brand. An iota piece in your collection tells the story of your taste, your style and your agenda. We are masters of our craft and create perfectly personalized pieces for our clients. We invite you to join our community and hold our pieces
