About the Item
Full of texture, colors, and many specialty one of. kind glazes
This handmade Vase/ pot is created from stoneware clay by April's technique of Hand coiling clay and building shape over a week to form before firing in kiln. Each vase goes thru multiple firings of oxides, custom glazes and porcelain slip application before its final firing. The results are much in the genre of wabi Sabi interior design and often full of imperfections created through out the firing process.
Created in April's Los Angeles creative studio each piece is available to be picked up in person if you are local.
This white crackle Moon Vase is covered in custom slips, Oxides and glazes.
perfect for a coastal home or home with a modern rustic decor.
this Vessel is water tight and can be used for floral arrangements
much int the style of Wabi Wabi practice, we encourage you to enjoy the imperfections that are a in my style of work.
we often use multiple firings push each piece -outer surface may have drips, cracks and blisters and raws areas.
Please take care when handling each piece as the crackles and textures are sometimes fragile.
May be wiped with damp cloth. Rubber feet will come each item to protect furniture from stoneware.

April has been a full time creative most of her adult life. For the past 15 years her main focus has been photography, However, during the pandemic she wanted to fulfill her dream to open her own creative studio again, but this time In Los Angeles. Her work is all hand coiled One of a Kind ceramic vessels. They are individually created for their unique size, shapes and textures. Each is then covered in many layers of color, slips, oxides, & custom glazes. Each piece is often fired multiple times to create their unique textures. Fragile to the touch but bold in the statement.
April continues to create in the studio all the while creating with her clients behind the camera with her team at April Belle Photos. Shine Studios was born at time when the world was shut down; but her team wanted to create. It remains a space of peace, safety and pure joy. Hand Built sculpture clay. Multi Layered Glazing . One of a kind. Made in Los Angeles.
This large coil built vessel makes a lovely home for fresh or dried flowers. Due to the nature of the intense glaze, this product could sweat over time. Please place a thin cork beneath to keep surfaces protected.
