David Marshall hexagonal ashtray in cast brass and aluminum from the 1970s

About the Item

Wonderful hexagonal ashtray in solid brass and aluminum. This lovely piece was designed by David Marshall in Spain during the 1970s. The simple straight lines and contrast between the different materials make this David Marshall ashtray extremely elegant. The brass has been kept with its natural patina which gave the metal a wonderful gold tone. It has some minimal sign of use that don't compromise its beauty. The bottom is completed by a soft leather pad. Dimensions (cm): Width - 13 Depth - 13 Height - 2 The Scottish sculptor opened a workshop in southern Spain in the late 1960s, where he began creating his own original designs and sculptures that replicated nature while combining modern technology as a creative contrast.
