About the Item

Scandinavian Modern Stig Lindberg "Domino" Dish, in Brown and Beige, Gustavsberg. Stig Lindberg was one of Sweden's most influential designers and ceramicists of the 20th century. He is particularly known for his work at the Gustavsberg porcelain factory, but he also created a range of design objects for other companies, including LUMA. His works are highly sought after by collectors worldwide, and the Domino series he designed for LUMA is no exception. This series represents an important part of Swedish design history and showcases Lindberg's ability to create everyday objects that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. At that time, LUMA was a factory primarily known for its lighting products, but during this period, it also produced design objects. The products may be marked with both Stig Lindberg's name and the LUMA logo, making them recognizable. The beautiful pattern and color choice are unusual for this model, which is otherwise usually black and white. The dish is marked underneath with Gustavsberg, Domino, Stig L. 11 (1), and LUMA.
