A fine and impressive antique Russian silver Kiddush cup / beaker; an addition to our range of drinks related silverware This fine antique Russian silver Kiddush cup / beaker has a cylindrical tapering form onto a collet style base. The surface of the silver beaker is embellished with Fine and impressive engraved decoration depicting a simplified archway revealing alternating leaf motif and city scenes. The flared rim of this impressive example of Russian silverware has an applied moulded rim. The antique cup retains the original gilt interior. The hallmarks to the underside of this antique beaker include: Maker's mark: (IEZ - Israel Eseevich Zakhoder) Assay mark: A.A 1889 (Anatoly Apollonovich Artsybashev) Silver quality/purity mark: 84 (84 zolotniks) City Mark: St George slaying the dragon (Moscow, Russia) 84 zolotniki is equivalent to 875/1000 or .875 standard silver Condition This Russian silver cup is a very good gauge of silver excellent quality and in excellent condition. The engraved decoration is all very crisp. Full hallmarks struck to the underside are all very clear.
