About the Item

A fine American Art Deco flask. By Gorham. In the elusive pattern often referred to as 'Quilted'. This pattern is said to mimic the design of Deco period dirigibles or blimps. By repute, the actor Clark Gable's favorite flask was a smaller variation of this pattern. Monogrammed 'ATF' to the front. Fully marked to the underside of the cap. Simply a wonderful Gorham Art Deco flask! Date: Early 20th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: Monogramed with a script monogram. There are some light dings and indentations to the lid, and some very light dings and indentations to the body here and there throughout. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: Gorham Marks: Marked to the lid's arm for Gorham / Sterling / Gorham's maker's mark / 240 / 1 Pint Fineness: Marked Sterling for silver fineness. Measurements: Height: ca. 9 1/8 in.
