Handblown Cranberry Decanter Claret Jug with Applied Clear Handle and Rigaree

About the Item

This whimsical hand blown 15" tall decanter/claret jug epitomizes the talent of combining both a clear casing over the cranberry glass without appearing heavy with the additional applied clear rigaree. Standing alone, it is a sculptural example of 19th century hand blown crystal and of course, filled with your favorite sherry or port it is a useful piece with an easy to pour spout. The stopper and foot demonstrate the technique of cranberry cased in clear crystal. A beautiful example of either American or English blown glass of equal quality.
