Lebkuecher Sterling Silver Early 20th Century Flask in Art Deco Style

About the Item

Lebkuecher sterling silver flask from the early 20th century in Art Deco style, with an elegant, geometric design. It measures 6 1/4'' in height by 4 3/4'' in width by 7/8'' in depth and bears hallmarks as shown. Lebkuecher was a Newark-based silversmith, active in the 1890s and early 1900s, who is renowned for his Arts & Crafts and Art Nouveau objects. Lebkuecher was mentioned in Architectural Digest, as “a company known for crafting medals for the Rough Riders, including Theodore Roosevelt.” The partners were Arthur Lebkuecher, Francis Lebkuecher and Charles Wientge, former superintendent & designer at the highly respected Howard Sterling Company. Lebkuecher & Co. changed to F.A. Lester and, in 1918, was taken over by the Elder Company. Please feel free to ask us any questions, and please see our other listings. We hand polish all items before shipping them out, but if there is interest for a professional polishing and/or engraving removal, we can take care of that for an additional charge and with delayed shipping.
