Drew & Sons Picadilly Circus Hunting Travel Flask Leather, Chrome Glas ca. 1900

About the Item

Beautiful treasure by Drew & Sons The cup fits inside the lid of the case and so on top of the flask when packed. The case used to have a belt strap to secure it which ran fully around the case but is missing now. The flask is a very tight fit to the case which has either been done intentionally or by age. The flask's cap is a screw fitting and is cork lined for a watertight fit (cork a bit loose). The flask has a narrow shoulder to provide a good fit for the cup. As can be seen, the buckle on the outside even is intricately hand sewn. The set is hallmarked for London inside the outer leather lid , 'DREW & SONS, MAKERS TO THE ROYAL FAMILY, PICADILLY CIRCUS'. Drew sold a wide range of travel items from furniture to picnic sets from their large Piccadilly premises. They also sold to suit most pockets with silver plated items available for those who didn't want to spend on silver.
