Pair of Austrian Gilded Figural Comports with Putti 19th Century
About the Item
A pair of Central European comports dating back to 19th century, Bohemian crystal dishes with a floral and geometrical polychrome decoration mounted and held by ormolu cherub figures standing on octagonal shaped pedestal bases.
Both putti have a beautiful fire gilding and vine leaves and bunches of grapes chasing work.
Of Austrian origin, as per the mark on both bases, this antique pair of centerpieces are in good age related condition, with a small old welding, as per detailed images attached.
The provenance is a Milanese a private collection.
Period: circa 1870.
