Ceramic Corn Motif Serving Tureen with Lid in Green and Yellow, Signed 1972
About the Item
A hand-painted ceramic soup tureen is shaped like a bushel of yellow corn with green leaves. This oval serving dish is created from ceramic, and hand-painted by the artist. The sides and top are textured to resemble corn kernels. The lid at the top features a small baby corn handle. Small curled corn husks are decorated on each side and serve as handles for carrying the piece. The bottom is signed "Phyllis Knighton 1972". This would be a great piece to decorate a harvest table for a family gathering such as Thanksgiving or holidays.
