Georgian Miles Mason Porcelain Deep Plate or Dish hand painted Ptn 153, Ca 1805
About the Item
This is a porcelain, hand painted and gilded deep plate or saucer dish made by Miles Mason (Mason's), Staffordshire Potteries, England in the very early years of the 19th century, George III period, circa 1805.
The dish is well potted on a low foot.
It is beautifully hand painted in pattern 153 which is a classical free flowing floral pattern in many colors with much hand gilded detail. The rim also has a double gilded ring and the base has a central thickly gilded ring. This pattern is called "Garlands of Flowers" and is illustrated in the book, Miles Mason patterns and shapes edited by Velma Young and published by the Mason's Collectors' Club, page 19.
This piece is unmarked to the base as was often the case but is definitely by Miles Mason.
Overall a fine Piece of English Georgian porcelain in lovely condition.
