Set of 3 Cari Zalloni for Steuler ceramic blue-black „ Zyklon“ vases 1060s

About the Item

These three vases are part of the Cyclone series, designed by the designer Cari Zalloni at the beginning of his career for the ceramic factory Steuler near Coblenz in the 1960s. The striking feature of these vases is their cobalt blue glaze, which transitions from a light hue to almost black, creating a captivating visual effect. The largest vase measures H: 20 cm x 12.5 cm x 8.5 cm, stamped with the mark 193/20, weighing 840 grams. It stands as a testament to Zalloni's early exploration of form and color within the Cyclone series. The middle vase, with dimensions H: 16 cm x 12.50 cm x 5.8 cm, bears the stamp 191/15, weighing 184 grams. Despite its smaller size, it retains the same captivating allure as its larger counterpart, showcasing Zalloni's skillful craftsmanship. The smallest vase, measuring H: 11 cm x 7 cm x 3.8 cm, stamped with the mark 190/10, weighs 416 grams. Despite its diminutive size, it embodies the same design ethos and meticulous attention to detail as its larger counterparts, making it a charming addition to any collection. Originating from Germany in the period between 1960 and 1969, these vases capture the essence of mid-century design, reflecting the innovative spirit and artistic vision of their creator, Cari Zalloni. Each vase stands as a unique piece of art, showcasing Zalloni's mastery of form, color, and texture, and exemplifying the timeless appeal of the Cyclone series.
