Vintage Bird Vase by Gorka Géza by Applied Arts Company 1959 Hungary

About the Item

A masterpiece of abstraction This fascinating ceramic bird vase, dated to the late 1950s, is a design by Gorka Géza from the 1940s. It was only manufactured a few years later by the Applied Arts Company. With its dimensions of 22.5 cm x 9.5 cm x 21 cm, it is not only an impressive decorative item, but also a unique collector's item that reflects the history of mid-century design. The Cocotte Vogelvase embodies the abstraction and the avant-garde spant that shaped the art world of the 1950s. Their design is free of conventional forms and is reminiscent of the experiments of this era. The vase presents stylized bird shapes that have been creatively integrated into the ceramics. This artistic and at the same time minimalist design gives your room a special expressiveness. The decor and colors completely reflect the 50s. Very good condition H:22.5 cm D: 9.5 cm W:21 cm
